feelgood factor
When your
feet need a life

At Nail Express you walk in with hard heels but walk out feeling like a million dollars.

If you're one of those few women who just hate the hassle of stepping out for a pedicure or manicure, then Nail Express is the stop that may change your life. A little less dramatically, it's certainly a cinch to change the way you feel about your hands and feet, forever. The feel good factor is so powerful that you walk in carrying the weight of lead and walk out with the lightness of tip toeing on rose petals. What, you might ask, is so special about Nail Express?

Established last year in Karachi under the management of Nabila – a woman who needs no introduction – Nail Express is the first walk-in nail bar to emerge in Karachi until it also opened a bigger and more spacious branch in Gulberg, Lahore. It is the first salon to cater to nail care alone. When you sit down for a pedicure, rest assured you will not be distracted by the disturbing whirr of hair dryers or the racket of several different women getting several hundred different services at the same time. No quick jobs done here, the minimum one hour spent at Nail Express will ensure you walk out feeling like a million dollars.

Nail Express is an oasis of peace, solitude and professional services that one desperately needs, to get away from the chaos of life in Lahore or Karachi. The ambience is pristine, minimilistic (could you expect anything else from Nabila?) and the services are extremely hygienic. During the process of scraping dead skin off the heels, for example, a brand new and sterile scalpel is used to ensure maximum safety. And if you think your well pampered heels are free of dead skin, you'll be shocked to see the before and after of this pedicure.

Once you kick off your shoes and rest back for the best pedicure in town over a steaming mug of coffee, you know you're in for a great experience and you know you're in good hands. The staff at Nail Express has been deployed from Foot Clinic, so a pedicure is like handing your feet over to a para-chiropractor. Extremely experienced, your attendant will immediately inform you whether you've been wearing the wrong shoes, whether you've got a painful ingrown in the making or even if you're sporting a back ache. Thanks to the science of reflexology, the forty minute blissful massage at the end of the hydrating pedicure, for instance, can indicate most of your ailments. If you'd rather not be told, then you can simply close your eyes and enjoy the luxury of being indulged.

From the time you soak your feet in the water bath, through the filing, buffing, scraping, sea salt rubbing, cooling hydrating mask and finally massage, be sure to keep an hour and a half free, depending on the service you opt for. Pedicures can cost anything between 1200 and 4000 rupees so come prepared and if you're looking for the most expensive paraffin wax treatment, be sure to book in advance. Nail Express is a unisex salon so if you're uncomfortable getting a pedi done in the presence of strange men, opt for early morning weekdays since men usually treat themselves on Sundays. Also, unless you're dying for an immediate coat of lacquer, you are advised to carry a pair of socks and leave your nails polish-free to allow them to breath and hence, optimize the procedure.
