The visit of Pervez Musharraf either comes out to be successful or not, America always seeks for his own interest. We don't have to expect more for the benefits of our country either it is Musharraf or whoever.

We need friends not masters while America is world master now and acting without
caring of even UN resolutions.
USA is perusing his hidden agenda, and they are after our nuclear program. After eliminating other small problems our turn is not very far away. We should adopt a policy, which safeguards our national interests, and guarantee our sovereignty and integrity.

President Mushfraf visit was our public relationing in America. We cannot win America's confidence without convincing their people first.
Mr. Musharraf did really a wonderful job to convince Americans on political and economic fronts of Pakistan. No leader of Pakistan has ever done this. I respect him that he has done a great job for Pakistan.

The fact that President Musharraf was welcomed to Camp David illustrates well that he is regarded as a key regional player in terms of US interests -whatever- in the region. The President expressed his views and Pakistan's position clearly and strongly during his visit to Camp David. In my view he has done well. I don't believe any previous leader of Pakistan has expressed Pakistan's position on the various issues that face it so clearly and forcefully.
Pakistan can only gain greater respect and recognition if it is economically strong. It seems to be making a start in that direction.
On the question of Israel, I think Pakistan needs to tread carefully and not hastily and must set some test before it even considers recognition. I would recommend what include at the very least the reality (not promise) of a viable and independent Palestine and fixed borders for Israel itself.

Pakistan needs friends and investors. We are far behind in technology and commerce and we have to show the world if we are given the opportunity, we can do marvels. So in that respect the Musharraf visit to USA was in favour of the country. The President has done a good job.

Well, I think its too early to say if we are satisfied or not. Whatever happened so far is good but the real thing comes when they start to materialsie whatever they agreed and decided.

No satisfaction can be derived from a Pakistani vassal meeting an American emperor unless the outcome is Pakistan's sovereignty. On this score, the meeting was an abject failure and disappointment...as expected.

In my opinion, recent meeting between Musharaf and Bush has ultimately proved the version that US and Pak military are not interested to deliver democracy to the people of Pakistan and a big chunk of Aid offered by US will also be spent on military. It is really a very situation for the people of Pakistan.

What outcome we are talking about? Was he over there to take further instructions? I think yes, because our president has given the statement in favor of Israeli state.

I think the overall outcome was very positive and its long-term effects will appear in the near future. First of all President Musharraf's visit to Camp David by itself was something that Pakistanis should be proud of, because this is the first time that a South Asian leader was invited to Camp David.
I think this time USA does look serious to keep close ties with Pakistan. The key points were five years 3 billion dollar economic and military package, financial and technical assistance and agreements on trade and investment. So if we put this all together, this package should help Pakistan to stand back on its feet once again in terms of economic self-sufficiency.
President Musharraf deserves a lot of credit who is working very hard to build Pakistan a strong nation, lets all support him and give him a big hand of applause. The members of the opposition parties should put their self-interests and confrontations on a side and work together to rebuild Pakistan as a strong nation. This will be good for the country and will be good for the coming generation.

In order to determine whether the Bush-Musharraf meeting was a successful or not, we should know what its purpose was. It seems that Mr.
Bush invited President Pervez Musharraf to renew his contacts with him and to say a few words in appreciating him for the work he has done. America is aware of the economic problems facing Pakistan and it was a foregone conclusion that some help will be given.
This was done. Those who were expecting that something extraordinary would come out of the meeting are removed from the compulsions of politics. Political parties that are terming the visit as failure or anything that may hurt Pakistan will always say that President Musharraf went to America to seek support to strengthen his position in the country. They are at fault.
Although, national politics is divided in the country, but the majority of the people still support him. He has led the country in a tumultuous and critical time. He took very wise decisions, which warded off danger to the security and stability of the country. Vast majority of people understand it well.
In short, president's visit to America has turned a successful one

In the times when Uni-Polar Imperialism systems are under enforcement in the world and all balances on other side, Pakistan's achievement for recognition of maintaining deterrence, urgent need of settlement of Kashmir -territorial dispute, expansion of trade relationships, finance package support and permission of purchases of electronic systems for current advance defiance requirements keeping pending the old issue of less needed F-16 is a big success of the summit.

Regarding the Musharraf's visit to US, I want to tell you that General Pervez Musharraf is a great leader and whatever he did and has done so far I salute him for that. Whatever he is doing for Pakistan no other leader before him did it.

First of all I think we are a bit optimistic when we call Musharaf a counterpart of G.W. Bush. We all know the Honour Americans give us and have been giving us since we both became so-called friends
I believe all these meetings and summits are a part of American game plan and Americans have their interests above everything dear to others. These summits and talks would prove futile as have proved in the outgoing years. We shall be now living in fool's paradise, as we are a nation strong enough to carve our own way.
To put it simply, I must say that this summit would bring nothing but a load of new burden of foreign debts under the cushion of so-called loans & aid. But, we as a nation at the moment are so helpless that we have no other option than to applaud the resounding success of Musharaf's tour.

I want to say that General Musharraf is not representing the nation's feeling when he is saying that we should change our attitude towards Israel.
He is the person who surrenders on one phone call and now he wants to sell the nation again for his own benefits and hidden agenda.
We cannot accept Israel and this is part of our "Imaan"

Indeed, we are very much satisfied with this meeting of our president with Mr Bush. We should be grateful to Mr Bush that he took out the time to see our poor president. It's a matter of pleasure. We should all celebrate this great event. This meeting tells me only thing that Mr bush has given assurance to Mr Musharaf that
you will be president for next 5 years if you keep obeying us. Thank you,
Mr. Bush.

Whatever the outcome of Musharraf-Bush summit, USA must have done more to better the economy of Pakistan by writing off the entire loan, reimbursement of f-16 amount and special economic aid to improve agriculture, industries, education and social aid for poor class.

Yes the visit was very satisfying and it would have great impacts on South Asia in future.

There is no need to celebrate the outcome of the Musharraf's visit to US, as it is not something that came out due to the great leadership between the two sides. It is, indeed, a USA "political game plan".

What will make the difference whether people are satisfied or not over Camp david summit? America does what it likes. It does not bother what more than 6 billion people the world over think about America.
